Use the language of suggestion; why not...?   you could / should / might etc

  1. TO VISIT MADRID
If you Aunty Thelma visits Madrid, you should walk around city centre: Sol, Plaza Mayor, Palacio Real, Gran Vía...
If your Aunty likes art, you should visit the Museo del Prado and the Reina Sofia and you could go to others museums like Thyssen, Caixa Forum, Museo Sorolla... In Madrid there are a lot of museums to choose.
In Madrid there are a lot of parks too. You could go to the Retiro and Templo de Debot.
I like "El parque del Capricho". Is a little park, not in the centre, but is so beautiful!
To see a panoramic view of Madrid, I could tell you four places: the roof in the Circulo de Bellas Artes building, a park called "las 7 tetas" near to Vallecas, and then two restaurants where you could enjoy a panoramic views of Madrid while you eat: "la casa de Granada" near to Tirso de Molina and "Las escuelas Pias" near to Lavapiés.. The last one is my favourite.

  2. I recommend your aunty to visit some other places in Madrid:
she might like to visit "la Catedral de la Almudena" or "El Monasterio Descalzas Reales", and I think that she should go to "El Corral de la Moreria", it´s a restaurant with the best Tablao Flamenco in Madrid.
Finally, she could go to "El Rastro", it´s a market in "La Latina", here she can find many old things and many funny things.

  3. If your aunt comes to Madrid for Easter, she should taste some typical sweets that they're made in these days, like "Torrijas" o "Huesos de Santo", in "La Mallorquina" or "El Horno de San Onofre" (two famous bakeries of Madrid).
And if she is a religious woman, when the Easter's processions go out to the street, why not visit easily some churches or basilicas like Iglesia-basílica de Nuestro Padre Jesús de Medinaceli, Real Colegiata de San Isidro or Parroquia Nuestra Señora del Carmen y San Luis.

You can visit too many places, for example, you could go to atocha and from there you could walk for Paseo del Prado and visit some museums like Reina Sofía, Thyssen and Museo del Prado but if you don’t want to visit museums you could walk for this street go to Cibeles and Alcalá and finally you can enter in Parque del Retiro which with this weather in afternoon is spectacular. Also, you can walk for Plaza de Oriente and you can see Catedral de la Almudena, Campo del Moro, Jardines de Sabatini… (I think that in the night with illumination this place is very beautiful) and after, you could go to Sol and Gran Vía… and visit the most famous streets in the city centre!!!!

There are a lot of beautiful places in Madrid which you can visit with your Aunty Thelma. I'm not from Madrid, but I live here five years ago, and I love living in Madrid because you can do a lot of different plans.

If you like parks, you can go to "El Retiro" and it can boating, it's very enjoyable and cheap!
If you like Art you have to go to the " Reina Sofía Museum", there is a exposition about contemporanean art and it's free on afternoon, like almost museums.
At night, you could go to "La Latina", there are a lot of typical Spanish bars and then, you can drink around "Sol".
Why not seeing the most important monuments of the world in an only place?? In Torrejón de Ardoz there is a big park with the most important monuments of the world in miniature, it's free!
Also, you can walk on the centre and you will discover beautiful buildings like "Banco de España" or "Cines Capitol".

As you can see my plans are enjoyable, free and different! I hope your aunt likes Madrid. Nice visit!!

Madrid is a wonderful city. In the streets or cafés, you can live the history and experiences that historical characters like Lope de Vega or Cervantes lived in their time. The parks and gardens, the museums and theaters or the many churches are places that your aunt should visit because if she does not, she might lost one of better cities in the world.

  10. Madrid is one of the most beautiful places in Spain and in Europe. Here, she can visit a lot of places and live a good experience. For that, I recommend her to visit Puerta del Sol and to walk to Paseo del Prado, Paseo de Recoletos and see Fuente de Cibeles and Fuente de Neptuno. Then, she might go to Museo del Prado, that is one of my favorite museum, and have an importants work of art.

Then, she could go to Plaza de España and walk near to see the incredible Templo de Debod, that is an egiptian temple in Madrid.

Finally, she should go to enjoy the wonderful food, tapitas, and mistycal environment that involves Madrid at night, for example, starting in a tablado, looking the flamenco music and later going to a lot of places that have music and drink.

  11. If your aunt will be visiting Madrid a few days, besides going to the most emblematic places of the city, you should take her to see a play because Madrid has a great cultural and we have our little Broadway in the Gran Via.

If you have more days you have to take to El Escorial, Aranjuez and La Granja de San Ildefonso, which are beautiful and interesting places.

You have beautiful and wonderful places to visit in Madrid.

If you like museums you could go to the "Museo Nacional del PRADO" ,"Museo de Cera" and "Museo Thyssen" ,depending if you prefer modern or classic art. You can find both options in Madrid´s museums, just in case.

Here you can learn about spanish and non spanish culture and painters´s life.

If you like walking and seeing momunents you could go to "Plaza Mayor" and look at around this, It is a wonderful place. Near to Plaza Mayor there are many typical restaurants and some of them have several shows of "Flamenco".

Another day you can visit the "Palacio Real" but I recomend you to check the timetable, because often it changes.

Next to Palacio Real, you can find the "Almudena" cathedral, you can walk around this and listen to mass.

Finally you could go to "La Latina" It is a place where you can sit in the terrace drinking few cold beers and eating "TAPAS" , and obviusly spanish HAM .

La Latina also has a lot of small bars where you can drink cocktails, beers, wine ,coffe and what ever you want.

  14. I don't know very well the city but the little that I have known, I would recommend you to visit the most emblematics places of the city
The center of Madrid is a good site to begin. There, you could see the square, or gran vía where you could see the most importants theatres and musicals in the city. The spanish food is very good so you cannot leave the city without visit some pub or spanish restaurant. Then, if it sunny, I recommend to you to walk for along the park of Retiro where you could rise to the famous boats.
