I was working and studyng a lot during the "holidays", so I couldn't do as much as I would like to did. I watched some chapters of "Breaking Bad", no dubbed and with Spanish subtitles, and now I'm downloading the english subtitles for the next season, that I'm going to watch when I have a little relaxing time.
ReplyDeleteI started to read "Alice in the wonderland" in English too. It's being difficult to me, because I had never read a book in this language, so I'm learning a lot of vocabulary.

ReplyDeleteThe holidays have been short but very intense. I've watched the Godfather (the first part) and is difficult to follow some accents.
I've read: "Landscape Ecology Principles in Landscape Architecture and Land-Use Planning". It is a fantastic book with diagrams and interesting graphics. The principles are simple and sometimes trivial. I recommend it for lovers of landscaping, planning and design.
Hi everybody!!Happy New Year!! The film that I saw this holidays named UP. It’s a Disney’s Pixar film easy to understand without subtitles if you want to practice listening. The film is not too longer so you don’t need to spend a lot of time. The vocabulary is not too difficult and you can learn some new words. I recommended that kind of film for improve our listening and pronunciation.

ReplyDeleteThis chtistmas I don't have much time to read but I'm going to recommend a film i saw in this holidays. The film is Big Fish, the director is Tim Burton. I love his movies and this was one I haden't seen. The gender is fantasy and is very veautiful. Is about the relationship of father and son and has many interesting stories. I don't tell you more because you have to see it.
ReplyDeleteHello everybody. Happy New Year!!!! The film that I´ve watch was "Intochable" by Eric Toledano. It´s a great french made movie. I love the film because it´s about a quadriplejic rich man who hires a man to take care of him. it´s a true story. Have some funny moments. I think the language isn´t hard to understand. Hope you can see it.

ReplyDeleteAlthough I've had two weeks of vacations, they have seemed too short. I've had much work ( exams and exercises to correct) but I have enjoyed with the family and friends too. I've been a few days in my village, walking around the mountains and I've been able to go to the cinema. I saw three movies that I liked quite: Les Misérables and The Hobbit ( in English with subtitles) and the Spanish film " The Impossible" and , of course, I've been cooking and eating a lot... and now, I have to start a new diet..Oh Heavens!!!

ReplyDeletei have been so much things to do this holidays, but i´ve seen a cuples of films. one of them is called "when in Rome". it´s a romantic comedia film about a girl, which is married with her job, doesn´t find the right man. when her baby sister is married in rome, she find a men who loves her, and after one hour of film, they married, hehehe.
the english is easy to understand, but some times it´s imposible to know what they say because they don´t vocalize anything.

ReplyDeleteAlthough I have been working a lot for the last Christmas holidays I could find time in order to go to the cinema and enjoy with my family and friends.
"The Sessions" is the last film I watched in V.O. I think it is a good film so I recommended it. It is about a disabled man who is discovering his sexuality. He is helped by a woman: Helen Hunt.

ReplyDeletein this Christmast holydays, I was watchich the big bang theory in english with subtitles in english too. In adiccion, i was watching the first three films of Harry potter. both of them, have a very good english for learners because the protagonists don't speak fast and you can understand them also it's possible that you've already watched in spanish.
Hi everyone! In this Christmas holidays I read one book, his name is "Cranford", this is an adaptation book to our level and it´s funny! It´s about the life in a small English town and the neighbors problems, I recommend it to my classmates because it´s a story of mystery and you can read it in a short time.
ReplyDeleteHi everybody!! On Christmas holidays I have seen the film Love actually. It's about a few different stories that happen at Christmas time. I think it's not very difficult to understand because they speak slowly and it's a good way to learn some words and expressions of the daily life.
ReplyDeleteHello Everybody. In this Christmas holidays I had worked and I didn´t have time a lot, but I started to read a book. The title is Moondial. It´s not complicated, but I recommend it because people can learn new vocabulary. Also I saw a television series, “ The good wife” . It´s very interesting but not always I understand the dialogues.

ReplyDeleteOver the holidays I had to study hard so I didn't have time to see any film to improve my English. But I had to make a presentation about a technology that calls PBS, and all the information about it on Internet are in English, so I have read many papers and user guides. I don't recommend you to read about it, unless you know what a cluster or high performance computing is.

ReplyDeleteThis Christmas holydays I watched "Les Misérables", that is a musical based on the book of the french writer Victor Hugo. It´s a very well-known story set in France in the 19th century where several characters fight for survive in a impoveryshed country marked by recent revolution. I really recommend this movie everyone because it´s a beautiful story with very great songs.

These holidays,I could enjoy it and make a lot of things because I hadn´t to study for exams.
I saw the film The impossible. I recommend that you see this film because although it is suffering,it teaches you how to value family, everyday and you have to enjoy because you never know what can happen.
Hi!! I know it is to late to say Happy New Year, but I have been so busy that I couldn´t write anything till now. I have seen an old movie call "Holiday", starring Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet, which, in my opinion, is specially good. Two women who are fed up with their lives know each other through internet and decide to change their places between them. It is a good idea since not only will they have a cheap holiday but also they will discover something new which will change their lives.
