favourite songs

here's a song that I really like:

the flaming lips - do you realize??
you can read the lyrics here:
http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/flaminglips/doyourealize.html

This group play alternative rock which is sometimes rather psychedelic.

I find this song moving and uplifting, both the music and especially the lyrics. It's also a reminder of a very happy day in my life, and I still enjoy listening to the entire album. I can listen to this song at any time.

What about you? Choose a song and post links to the music and lyrics below, saying why you've chosen it.

  4. I usually listen to Spanish music, I like flamenco, rap and pop music. I usually listen to music driving. I like music for dancing, because i love dancing.
If I have to choose a song in English is a very sentimental famous song of singer Adele, "someone like you". I think this song is one of the best, is very sentimental and is a song that makes you think about relationships. Adele has a beautiful voice and it's exciting to hear her sing this song.

  6. Here is a song by British rock band Queen.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPnp8AvxidU

    Bohemian Rhapsody

It was written by Freddie Mercury for his album A Night at the Opera in 1975.

It is a mixture of rock, ballad and a guitar solo to the top of the story. It's a song that goes from low to high and get a surprise ending. It is also a mythical theme, the best of Queen and is ideal for listening in the car.

  14. I don't have only one favourite song. Actually, I like many sorts of music and each one I have a favourite song. Althoug if I must choose one, it would be "Bad boys running wild" by Scorpions. The first time I listened it I was seven years old, more or less while my father was listening to his music in the car. As it is catchy I didn't get it out of my head. Later I put the song on to my cousin could listen to it. This summer we were dancing all the time with this song.

  15. I listen all kind of music. It depends on how I feel. My sister is who teaches me how music is the best for her and we go to different sort of concerts. The last group that I met was “The Black Keys”, tomorrow they play at the “Palacio de los Deportes” in Madrid and my sister and I are going to see them. Their music is so catchy and uplifting. It’s Indie style. The group plays for nine years. Maybe you know who there are, if you don’t listened them before you have to try, because it’s not difficult to understand them and you are going to singing all time. “El camino” it’s their last album. I hope you enjoy it.

This is some of my favourite songs. I really enjoy the music of The Boss and I listen him usually.
I listened it four or five years ago on my summer holiday. When my friends and me was on the beach, I felt a bit sad, but my friend said me “you have to wait patiently for a sunny day”. I remember that advice still today.

"I hung my head", is one of my favourite songs of all time. This song was written by Sting, although I prefer Johnny Cash´s version and his loud and broken voice. Every time I hear this song it makes me think that the life is ephemeral and wonderful, makes me feel alive.

Tears in heaven is one of the most sentimental song what I've ever listened. Eric Clapton wrote it in memorial of his son, who fell down of a skyscraper in New York when he was nine. I don't usually listen to music in english but i love this song.
